The old laptop is useless. you can punch it, shout at it, and turn it on, but it wont do anything. I managed to lose years worth of music, pictures and other things, which is really upsetting. settings for graphics and favourite links on web browsers are all gone. Programs that id downloaded and use a bit are all but gone from my memory, I havent remembered many of them that I need.
Right now I am using a laptop that is well over 6 years old, and it's not great at the making stuff work aspect of being useable. Unfortunately it's about my only way of internet access that isnt on the PSP browser or on my iPhone, which works, but not fantastically.
There is a new computer, and its a £600 monster (in my opinion anyway, its better than my old laptop) that has an AMD Phenom X4 processwor with 2MB cache, 4GB of RAM, 680GB HDD and aparently a good graphics processor, I can't remember that bit.
It will take about a week for me to be able to get the new computer online, which sucks, but I am thankful my sister brought me over this old banger, but I am so happy it works, even if the last time it was used was oct '08 so almost everything needs updating...
BUT IT WORKS! And it needs to restart. I was just able to make you think something had exploded, and told you my story. Now who wants to turn it into a film, or possibly a play? :3
