A Silly Challenge
So as some people know I'm a big fan of games. One of my favourite game series for a long time is the Metroid series, where you follow Samus Aran, a bounty hunter, as she saves the universe from the parasitic life forms known as Metroids.

In the game series, there are 11 games, And I have set myself the challenge to play through the series in chronological order. This way means that I can skip 2 of the game releases.

The games I will be skipping are Metroid Prime Pinball, as it only retells the story of Metroid Prime, and the original Metroid. The reason I am skipping the first game in the series is that Metroid: Zero Mission is a retelling of the original game, told with extra weapons and extra areas. In my mind Metroid and Metroid Zero Mission are the same basic game.

The Metroid Prime series, apart from Hunters, I do not own on the Gamecube. I do however have the Metroid Prime Trilogy, which contains all three of the main Metroid Prime games. Trilogy is on the Wii, and as such Prime 1 and 2 have updated controls for the Wii. Metroid Prime Trilogy came out in 2009 and at the time of writing this, was the last Metroid game released.

Metroid: Other M is the latest Metroid game in development, and will be released this autumn in the UK, US, and Asia. Other M is a co-operative effort between Nintendo and Team Ninja, creators of the Ninja Gaiden series. Other M is set to be a smash hit, and uses third person from the original series, and also uses first person from the Prime series, and melds them into a fantastic looking game.

At the moment, I have played through the most of Metroid: Zero Mission and am near completion of the game. After finishing it, I will review it and give it a score out of ten, like a real reviewer.
